AU Planning Meme - Pre-Game

Welcome to the first AU Workshop for Phantom Thieves International! This post is intended to help incoming players plot their AU and figure out who their characters are in this setting and where they want to go. This is completely optional but players are encouraged to use this post to establish some pre-existing CR and goals for their characters.

CURRENT EVENTS

The following events will be occuring in the setting as the game begins:

-There’s an open casting call for extras for the production of an artsy film by a well-known Hollywood producer.
-Pop superstar Leanna Rapide is playing at the Staples Center. Tickets are almost entirely sold out.
-There has been an uptick in vandalism in Chinatown and Japantown, including anti-Asian graffiti as well as light damages to local independent shops and restaurants.
-Tensions remain high as police continue to conduct drug raids in poorer neighborhoods not seen since the height of the war on drugs.

If you're looking for a classmate and fellow protester, Locke can definitely provide. I feel like he and Lucio would generally be around the same age and taking some of the same classes/getting thrown in the same jails after a round of pepper spray from the cops.
