[Fingers tapping idly on the wheel, the radio in the background playing some song or another that doesn’t register. Gallagher is just as caught in this as anyone else is. He has lived in LA for years at this point, he understands how traffic works. Pattern recognition is a skill you pick up when you work in law for even a short period of time, and while he is no longer a traditional lawyer, such a sense of intuition has only sharpened over time. For many this would appear to be a particularly bad traffic jam. Gallagher knows better. The police barricade catches his eye in the distance. He already has his car parked knowing he won’t be going anywhere soon. And well... there’s no harm in investigation.
[He is calm in his approach, keeping up his official image. He doesn’t exactly press anyone, doesn’t go to press the police about it. He may be an acclaimed and powerful judge but... physical intimidation is not a part of his arsenal. He does at least try and sneak a peak around. He realizes it’s pointless, and not wanting to cause a scene or provoke trouble with the law, he retires himself aside. He begins to reach into his pocket, ready to pull out his phone and make an inquiry into this to someone who will be able to tell him, and in that moment, his awareness lapses.
[And in that moment, forces coincide to have him run right into someone.]
“Ah-“ [He catches himself. He doesn’t end up tripping and falling but he’s still rather disappointed in himself. He is a Judge, he has an image, he has to have a certain level of conduct even when not acting in an official capacity. You never know who could be watching. He doesn’t let this slip through his composure, however eve.] “My apologies. This inconvenience has clearly put me off in my conduct.”
